The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security, Cloud Engineering & Back End Web Development) is a double specialisation that takes place over 2 years. Below is a breakdown of each specialisation.
The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Cyber Security) is an Australian nationally recognised cyber security course that immerses you in the dynamic field of digital protection. You can begin this cyber security course with no prior experience and learn in a practical, industry focused way, that gets you ready to start working in the industry.
The ICT50220 Diploma of Information Technology (Cloud Engineering & Back End Web Development) is an Australian nationally recognised cloud engineering course that immerses you in the field of cloud engineering, which is essential to all business. You can begin this cloud engineering course with no prior experience and learn in a practical,industry focused way, that gets you ready to start working in the industry.
You’ll learn essential cyber security skills, such as countering phishing threats and securing network systems, to safeguard critical digital infrastructure. In your second year, you will study the vitally important cloud engineering and back end web development specialisation.





This course requires on campus study for 15 hours per week. These hours will be split up into 3 classes per week x 5 hours each class.
It is also recommended that you complete 5 hours of self-paced online learning each week on our custom built EQC Learning Hub, where you are guided through learning to support you. Your total study load is 20 hours per week for this course. You will be supported by our friendly and caring Training Team and Student Services Team.
This course runs for a total of 24 Months (Option to exit with qualification after 12 Months). The on-campus study section of your course will take place during the 4 terms per year as outlined below:
Term 1: 10 weeks
Holiday 1: 2 weeks
Term 2: 10 weeks
Holiday 2: 4 weeks
Term 3: 10 weeks
Holiday 3: 2 weeks
Term 4: 10 weeks
Holiday 4: 4 weeks
Based in Southport, our campus puts you close to everything with transport, shops, cafes, accommodation, and the Gold Coast right on your doorstep. Training is delivered face-to-face by trainers working in the industry.
